Road and long-haul truck driver (M/F)
Ensure the transport and delivery of all types of parcel goods, including drinks and foodstuffs and including alcohol or pork products and derivatives.
MAIN MISSIONS
P1: Carry out the transport mission
- Check loading or unloading operations (condition of goods, packaging, quantity, risky loads, etc.).
- Issue reservations when loading and unloading according to the situation and inform your manager.
- Carry out or check the lashing or wedging operations (issue reservations if necessary).
- Have the documents presented to the sender and recipient stamped and signed.
- Prepare all necessary documents: transport documents, weekly reports, daily recording sheets, etc.
- Contact your manager after each loading and unloading operation to:
- take stock of upcoming operations;
- inform the operator of any anomaly or malfunction.
P2: Ensure the condition of the production tool
- Ensure the cleanliness and integrity of the road system: preservation, safe parking, weekly cleaning, etc.
- Carry out the daily inspection of the road assembly (weekly report).
- Carry out a complete inspection of the entire vehicle (presence of on-board documents and equipment) with the responsible operator every two months or whenever the vehicle is changed.
- Report any anomalies to the responsible operator (weekly report, etc.).
P3: Ensure possession and updating of identity and professional documents
- Ensure that your identity card and/or passport is valid (if traveling outside the European Union).
- Ensure the validity of your driver card, your Driver Qualification Card and your ADR card.
- Take all necessary measures to always be in possession of a valid driving licence, as this is an essential element for the execution of the contractual relationship; failing this, the employment contract may be suspended.
- Report any driving license suspension, regardless of the cause.
REQUIRED PROFILE
Knowledge:
- To possess :
- Super Heavy Goods Vehicle Driving Licence;
- FIMO or equivalent;
- FCOS ;
- ADR.
- Knowledge of a foreign language would be appreciated.

Organize transport missions in accordance with the requirements of the interested parties.
MAIN MISSIONS
P1: Manage customers
- Prospect for new customers (freight exchanges, visits).
- Plan and carry out sales maintenance and development visits with the Sales Department.
- Compile information and results from sales visits into CRM software.
- Enter all relevant customer information and elements into the CRM.
- Develop prices according to price lists or on request.
- Act as an advisor to customers (methods to implement, extension of insurance, customs, etc.).
- Ensure customer solvency (financial investigations).
- Ensure compatibility between customer requirements and the company's operational potential (contract review).
- Inform customers of any malfunctions.
- Inform other departments when a customer develops a service-specific benefit (CRM).
- Inform requesting customers of the transport process according to the customers' preferred means.
P2: Organize transport missions
- Research and choose the means adapted to the services requested.
- Establish or control the establishment of documents and forms related to the transport contract and chartering (transport file).
- Organize tours in compliance with the regulations in force in the country(ies) concerned.
- Transmit loading/unloading instructions to dock personnel (slip).
- Establish clear, precise and detailed orders for subcontractors.
- Ensure that the subcontractor has a good understanding of customer requirements and regulations (contract review).
- Check that the goods are being transported correctly (prevent oversights, delays and non-compliance by drivers and charterers through telephone checks).
- Intervene with principals in the event of problems related to the delivery of goods, resolve if possible and transmit new instructions to drivers or subcontractors.
- Establish lasting partnership relationships with its suppliers.
- Ensure the productivity and profitability of transport.
- Collect as much information as possible and transmit all elements to the dispute/claims department in the event of a goods dispute or traffic claim.
P3: Prevent damage to the production tool
- Transmit to the workshop and/or the Fleet Manager any information from the driving staff on the condition of the road assemblies (weekly reports).
- Ensure the validity of road vehicle documents (registration documents, mines, etc.).
- Carry out a bi-monthly assessment of the condition and equipment of road assemblies.
- Respect the deadlines for periodic visits (oil changes, visits to mines, etc.).
- Have minor repairs carried out by the workshop.
- Keep the Park Director informed of any need for or any repair work by external organizations.
- Provide a weekly update on the status of the fleet present on site (Saturday morning office hours).
P4: Prepare and control invoicing elements
- Ensure the validity of billing information (name, address, payment deadlines, etc.).
- Check the documents from subcontracted transport operations (charter invoice in accordance with the agreed price, transport documents stamped and signed by the recipient).
- Check the consignment notes and the CMR and report in the event of a reservation issued and inform the service providers.
P5: Manage the driving staff
- Establish a climate of trust with the driving staff (pair).
- Ensure compliance with regulations through daily monitoring of drivers: geolocation, working time, driving data, etc.
- Collect information from social data (discs, digital maps).
- Plan leave and manage absences.
- Communicate all information necessary for the conduct of the driving staff's activities.
- Report any CSR anomalies to Management.
REQUIRED PROFILE
Knowledge:
- Master one or more foreign languages (vocabulary associated with the profession)
