Truck driver and long-haul truck driver (M/F)

To ensure the transport and delivery of all types of goods in parcels, including beverages and foodstuffs, and products and derivatives of alcohol or pork.

MAIN MISSIONS

P1: Carry out the transport mission

  • Control loading and unloading operations (condition of goods, packaging, quantity, hazardous loads, etc.).
  • Make reservations about loading and unloading according to the situation and inform your supervisor.
  • Perform or check the lashing or securing operations (issue reservations if necessary).
  • Have the documents presented to the sender and the recipient stamped and signed.
  • Prepare all necessary documents: transport documents, weekly reports, daily log sheets…
  • Contact your supervisor after each loading and unloading operation to:
  • to review upcoming operations;
  • inform the operator of any anomaly or malfunction.


P2: Monitor the condition of the production equipment

  • Ensuring the cleanliness and integrity of the entire road network: preservation, parking in safe locations, weekly cleaning…
  • Conduct a daily inspection of the entire road network (weekly report).
  • Carry out a complete inspection of the entire vehicle (presence of on-board documents and equipment) with the responsible operator every two months or at each vehicle change.
  • Report any anomalies to the responsible operator (weekly report…).


P3: Ensure the possession and updating of identity and professional documents

  • Ensure the validity of your identity card and/or passport (if travelling outside the European Union).
  • Ensure that your driver card, Driver Qualification Card and ADR card are valid.
  • Take all necessary measures to always be in possession of a valid driving licence, as this is an essential element for the performance of the contractual relationship; otherwise, the employment contract may be suspended.
  • Report any driving licence suspension, regardless of the cause.

MAIN MISSIONS

P1: Managing customers

  • Prospecting for new clients (freight exchanges, visits).
  • Plan and conduct maintenance and development sales visits with the Sales Management.
  • Compile information and results from sales visits into the CRM software.
  • Enter all relevant customer information and elements into the CRM.
  • Develop pricing according to pricing schedules or upon request.
  • To have an advisory role with clients (resources to implement, insurance extension, customs…).
  • Ensure the solvency of clients (financial investigations).
  • Ensure compatibility between customer requirements and the company's operational potential (contract review).
  • Inform customers of any malfunctions.
  • Inform other departments when a client develops a service-specific offering (CRM).
  • Inform requesting customers about the transport arrangements according to their preferred means of transport.


P2: Organize transport missions

  • Research and choose the means appropriate to the services requested.
  • Prepare or control the preparation of documents and forms related to the transport contract and chartering (transport file).
  • Organize tours in compliance with the regulations in force in the country or countries concerned.
  • Transmit loading/unloading instructions to dock staff (waybill).
  • Establish clear, precise and detailed orders for subcontractors.
  • Ensure that the subcontractor has a good understanding of customer requirements and regulations (contract review).
  • To monitor the proper execution of the transport of goods (prevent oversights, delays, non-conformities of drivers and contractors through telephone checks).
  • To intervene with clients in case of problems related to the transport of goods, to resolve if possible and to transmit the new instructions to drivers or subcontractors.
  • Establish lasting partnership relationships with its suppliers.
  • Ensure the productivity and profitability of transport.
  • Gather as much information as possible and transmit all elements to the dispute/claims department in the event of a merchandise dispute or traffic accident.


P3: Prevent damage to production equipment

  • Transmit to the workshop and/or the Park Director any information from the driving staff on the condition of the road units (weekly reports).
  • Ensure the validity of the documents for road vehicles (registration certificates, vehicle registration documents, etc.).
  • Conduct a bimonthly review of the condition and equipment of road networks.
  • Respect the deadlines for periodic visits (oil change, mine inspection, etc.).
  • Have the minor repairs carried out by the workshop.
  • Keep the Park Director informed of any need for or intervention to carry out repairs by external organizations.
  • Conduct a weekly review of the condition of the park present on site (Saturday morning office hours).


P4: Prepare and check the billing elements

  • Ensure the validity of the billing information (name, address, payment terms…).
  • Check the documents from the subcontracted transport operations (invoice from the charterer conforming to the agreed price, transport documents stamped and signed by the recipient).
  • Check the waybills and the CMR and report in the event of a reservation issued and inform the service providers.


P5: Managing the driving staff

  • Establish a climate of trust with the driving staff (pair).
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations through daily monitoring of drivers: geolocation, working hours, driving data…
  • Collect social data information (disks, digital cards).
  • Planning holidays and managing absences.
  • Communicate all the information necessary for the operation of the driving staff's activities.
  • Report any CSR anomalies to Management.
